Seeps pension

HMRC tell me after a pension check I will get (?) an additional pension(serps) of £32.##.
I have asked for a pension search and been give an address/number to get in touch with.
Having done this they do not have any record of me by name or d.o.b. But know of the company I worked for at the time.
Company refers me to my pension payer as I took this at 50. They don't know anything about serps !!!! Can anybody tell me if this serps info is "fake news" or not ? Would I be taxed after retirement as if I were receiving this extra amount even if I will not be getting it, is seems.
Very confused. Going round in circles.

How have HMRC communicated this to you, are you referring to the COPE amount on your state pension forecast ?

You have just obtained a "state pension forecast"?

You have a COPE of £32 shown on the forecast?

You have been advised by HMRC that this results from the fact that you were "contracted out" of SERPS into a private/occupational pension scheme (or schemes) at some point between 1978 and 1997?

In which years exactly were you contracted out? Was this in just one scheme?
