Discharge and payment thingy

Up to what point are the IS likely to want a repayment plan (3 years) from a BR? at his discharge or is it possible after?
A mate has had no job offers for 9 months and is due an automatic (1 year from BR) discharge in a month and has had 2nd interview for a job (albeit not very well paid)..

if the 'thingy' in question is an IPA - then the OR must set up a surplus income IPA within the first 12 months, it can not be instigated once you are discharged. However, if an IPA already exists and has been reduced to low or zero amount due to low income, then it can be revised if the BR improves his income.0

You have 21 days to inform the OR about a change of circumstances, and in the case of a new job it's from the date the first pay cheque is received, so potentially 7/8 weeks after starting!
In my case I went from unemployed to employed midway through bankruptcy. After waiting a couple of weeks after my first payslip I emailed the OR, who took nearly 2 months to send me the form to submit a new SOA (I had to chase THEM!). I submitted it and they never responded. The job was low pay anyway, but maybe I'm just lucky.0
