I am a father and want to take UPL.
I know you are able to have 4 weeks per year.
But my Q is...what denotes a year... Jan to Dec.
Or can i have four weeks in both Dec then Jan straight away ????

You would be better asking your employer...make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -

I think you need to start again in your research on this subject. The entitlement is 18 weeks in total until the child is aged 18, with a maximum of 4 weeks per year unless your employer agrees more.

Don’t forget you need to meet all the eligibility too.0

I would expect most companies to operate the 'year' as a 12 month rolling period.0

I would say it would be 4 weeks in a rolling year.0

I'd already read that. But wording suggests most employers would go with 4 weeks per year, and that was the basis of my question!0 -
Up to a maximum of four weeks per year. However it clearly says you can’t have more than 18 weeks up until the child is 18.0
