Sparkly wool for pom poms

Want to make pom poms for my xmas tree, but can't find sparkly wool. Anyone know where I can get it from? Maybe silver, gold, red, green.

Have you tried Hobbycraft? Ebay? Freecycle?
  • They had some in my local Wilco's, I didn't look at the price, but their wool is usually pretty cheap.

Check out your local market they usually have a craft stall. You could also check out Instore, Poundland also look in yellow pages for craft shops.I prefer markets for this kind of wool as the novelty wool is not too expensive.

  • You could always buy silver thread separtely and roll it in with your choice of colour of wool then make the pom pom that way the silver thread would be in with the wool rather than trying to find sparkly wool. Also if you did this you could use the same silver thread with different colours of wool for different effects.
