Don't worry... I've decided I'm not going anywhere and will be back on Friday with my updates.

That is one downside of long running threads, as new comers have a lot of catching up to do to get the whole story....plus I forget what I've written too.
I have to repeat things sometimes, as I get asked stuff that's been covered 100+ pages ago!! Most are sensible questions...some not so much! 😉
It gets derailed occasionally too.
Then times I need to keep clarifying stuff to help make sense of the numbers...like this year's spends still include our new boiler from July 21
I try and keep the OP amended for any newbies, dipping their toes in for the first time. I'll endeavour to make that more comprehensive.

I enjoyed the catch up. It was interesting to see a few years on the trot.
As I said in the energy thread we are Mr and Mrs average in our energy usage but want to do better. Changing out the electric shower will have to wait until it breaks or we have a new bathroom but we could just have a tap one fitted like we did in the old house🤔
We are late 40's and trying to use our money better so debt is being paid off and I am starting to learn about investing for after hence reading your thread. We have pensions but not many nuts in the pile yet but intend to keep on increasing when we get a payrise. My goal is to get us both having at least 25% gross going into our funds by the time we hit 50. My work contributes more than the legal but Mr M_F's does not.Dedicated Debt Free Wanabee 🤓

This thread originally was a new one carried over from an old one. How's it going, AKA, Nutwatch? - 12 month spends to date = 2.60% of current retirement "pot" (as at end May 2025)1 -
The figures are in...and there has been a fair bit of clawback on where we were last month. ~£16,000
Total pot now stands at £623,533.
Made up of:
Untouched pensions - £309,322
Drawdown (crystallised) pension - £42,886 (which we'll start to draw on at £1150pm from late April onwards)
S&S ISAs - £217,483
Loanpad P2P - £3530
Net instant cash - £50,312*
Annual spends to date - £18,000, so bang on our 3% of last years pot.
This compares to the following totals, as at:
March 21 - £597,895
December 21 - £653,155
February 22 - £607,306
* Our cash includes DH's tax rebate due of £4200, which is now showing as complete on HMRC, so hopefully the cheque will arrive soon. How's it going, AKA, Nutwatch? - 12 month spends to date = 2.60% of current retirement "pot" (as at end May 2025)5 -

Net instant cash - £50,312*Not too far of my numbers and proportions, except I have less in my ISA and no P2P but more in drawdown which I have so far set up to pay me £1047.50 per month which will pay me the tax free personal allowance for the next 4 years. I also have a DB pension which I plan to kick in at 65, so feeling happy, despite the rocky markets.Spending will rocket upwards this year as I've booked lots of holidays
Retired 1st July 2021.

And we put in a request to sell £15k of our premium bonds too.
