3rd month of no wins on the PB's on £40k
Would have had c.£60 interest by now, if we'd just shoved it in Marcus!!How's it going, AKA, Nutwatch? - 12 month spends to date = 2.60% of current retirement "pot" (as at end May 2025)1 -

Would have had c.£60 interest by now, if we'd just shoved it in Marcus!!If it gives you any comfort here's my breakdown of performance on PBs:Columns are:Month Winnings Running total of holdingsFeb-21 £50 £10,000 Mar-21 £0 £10,000 Apr-21 £0 £10,000 May-21 £0 £10,500 Jun-21 £0 £17,175 Jul-21 £0 £19,675 Aug-21 £25 £21,275 Sep-21 £0 £22,875 Oct-21 £0 £23,875 Nov-21 £0 £23,875 Dec-21 £25 £23,875 Jan-22 £25 £23,875 As of this month total winnings over previous 12 months is £125, equivalent to 0.69% interest rate. Still better than Marcus.Thought I'd post it here because you queried it Sea_Shell and I thought you might find it useful, but I realise this should be in the Premium Bond thread.

Thanks. It's just a barren patch I guess. Hopefully we'll have some wins to "catch up" on the "average luck" 0.9% rate!!
Maybe next month we'll win 5 x £25 ?How's it going, AKA, Nutwatch? - 12 month spends to date = 2.60% of current retirement "pot" (as at end May 2025)2 -

Yes, I think that's definitely the way to look at PBs.

..we have both maxed out on our PBs, and average around the headline rate. Most years we get a month or maybe 2 with no "winnings", but with avergae luck it should even itself out over time...hang on in there!!

Well the good news this morning is that I have won 2 x £25 prizes on my premium bonds (holding of £14.3K). Hadn't won anything for a few months. Unfortunately, the bad news is that the pump on our heating system has just broken yesterday so our plumber is off to source a new one. The lord giveth and he taketh away again! Typical that he always taketh away more than he giveth

I wasn't previously aware of Darwin Escapes, but I do like the look of that accommodation. I see that they have various sites throughout the country and most lodges seem to be pet-friendly which is good for us.0 -

So if you're very allergic to dog, then no, it won't be cleaned "properly"How's it going, AKA, Nutwatch? - 12 month spends to date = 2.60% of current retirement "pot" (as at end May 2025)0 -
Well hate to brag but I won £25 on my £9k stake.
I have said before my oh thinks I am too impatient checking and prefers to wait for the envelope through the door rather than check online for his stake of £27k, but between you and me I know he hasn't won anythingMoney SPENDING Expert5
