Hello
Excuse my ignorance or inability to search your forums correctly. I have read the newbies bits etc and this page is the closest I can find to my own situation! It sounded quite easy ...but I’m thinking this is going to be a lot of work! I’ve been rummaging around the various threads and forum areas for days.
The car got a pcn from one parking solution when parked on the grass in stanmer Park Brighton on a busy bank holiday Monday (perfect for the vultures it turns out!). There were no unpaid parking charges , the driver just didn’t even conceive of getting a parking ticket for not parking in the ‘designated ‘ parking areas of a park! The driver did casually notice the signs but all they noticed from them was the request to park considerately.
Anyway I’m cross with one parking and want to fight. They’ve rejected my appeal (as the keeper) and so now I’m ready to appeal to popla (as the keeper). Surely there are other people out there who’ve appealed this sort of thing? Have read threads about retail areas but thought this was a bit different.... any advice or links to relevant things would be greatly appreciated.

Nine times out of ten these tickets are scams so complain to your MP.
Parliament is well aware of the MO of these private parking companies, and on 15th March 2019 a Bill was enacted to curb the excesses of these shysters. Codes of Practice are being drawn up, an independent appeals service will be set up, and access to the DVLA's date base more rigorously policed, persistent offenders denied access to the DVLA database and unable to operate.
Hopefully life will become impossible for the worst of these scammers, but until this is done you should still complain to your MP, citing the new legislation.

Just as the clampers were finally closed down, so hopefully will many of these Private Parking Companies. You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0 -
Was the driver revealed in the initial appeal ? You should never reveal who was driving
If not, edit your post above to what the driver did on the day and what the keeper has done since
Study post #3 of that newbies thread for popla examples, draft your own and post it below for critique0 -
Hi
No I followed the advice and responded as keeper0 -
Hi there
I’ve cobbled together bits and pieces from various places. Could you let me know what you think? Don’t really know what I’m doing!! Many thanks0 -

Easy peasy one to win (as long as POPLA actually understand the point) as Stanmer Park is Council owned. They are not allowed to run parks like this, and can't hold a keeper liable. Here's one I wrote earlier about a BHCC site:
https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/comment/75614995#Comment_75614995PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Thanks coupon mad. I’ve added some more paragraphs from your previous appeal. I realise it’s all familiar to you but would you mind having a look at my final draft? I don’t have any photos to submit. Do you think it will do the trick? If so I’ll submit it! Many thanks, madpye0

Hi coupon mad
I’ve had a response from popla... it is refuting all the points I made in my appeal.. and to me it doesn’t look good! Saying the signs are clear at entrance and throughout park, they attach a landowner contract, they say notice to keeper is pofa compliant, the land is owned by council but is privately owned so not part of public highway or subject to road traffic act ...... any helpful comments?0 -

Is it asking for comments on the ppc response or is it the POPLA appeal outcome?0 -
Hi
They’ve replied to my appeal... they haven’t yet reached an outcome but are giving me 7days to make 2000 words worth of comments0 -
This is the popla appeal process by the way0
