Looking for soap for homemade cleaning products

Hi all :)
I am looking for bar soap to make my own washing liquid, I have looked on various supermarket websites but haven't been able to find it :(
Where do you all get yours?
What are the ingredients in household soap? Is it vegan?
Also can someone point me to the recipe library on the forum, for food and cleaning products.

Sorry for all the questions but you are all so great at giving me answers <3
Thanks so very much x

Do you mean this sort of thing.

If it is, each product has the ingredients, as for vegan. I would check the vegan society website.

You can get household soap from an old fashioned hardware shop if you have one near you. Alternatively try Amazon and/or Ebay

Dr Bronner's liquid castile and bar soaps are vegan and cruelty free. I've been using them for many years as I'm not a fan of chemical cleaners.

There's lots on line re home made products. Rebecca Sullivan has a blog and the Dr Bronner site has details of all the uses for their products .They do sal suds which is a heavy duty liquid cleaner. You only need a tiny amount in a bucket of water for both liquids so they last a long time.

Those products plus white vinegar, baking and washing soda are all I need . I do use good essential oils too for some tasks although the castile soaps come in various scents as well as plain sometimes warm water and essential oil is enough for washing ledges , paintwork etc.

Re recipes for homemade cleaners there used to be an OS index pinned at the top of the OS Forum. Dear much missed Squeaky compiled a huge list of cooking , home cleaning and many other lists from over the years including Laundry Gloop. It disappeared after a few years The food recipes are at the top of the cookery challenge on page one I have been pointed to the full index a couple of times but can't find it in my bookmarks. Someone may point you in the right direction. I wish the index could be pinned again as it was a treasury of old style ways and I pointed many to it in the past.
