Utterly bizarre thing happened today... after using the copy-and-paste email in the sticky and emailing it to Tesco Bank, asking them to update my credit file (to set a defaulted loan to 'settled' after discharge) they've send me a grovelling apology and a £50 cheque in the post - astonishing!!!
What do I have to do to get £100... Burn down their head office?!

That’s amazing! Did you just email it in? What email address did you send it too?
They are the only ones that haven’t updated mine and still send 6 monthly account updates!!0 -
dataprotectionoffice@tescobank.com. I didn't bother sending letters as all my ex-creditors had DPOs and their emails (and it's 2019).
I labelled it 'complaint about credit record' as per the sticky instructions and they referred it to their complaints and dispute resolution team. A month later I'd noticed no change on my credit file so politely requested an update on what was happening. They emailed back to say I'd been referred to their complaint resolution team. A little while later I got the apology, cheque and a promise to update my file ASAP. Bizarre treatment from someone I didn't pay back a loan to and wasn't even angry at!0 -
Thanks for that. Certainly worth a try.
They have been useless when I phone them!0 -
Yeah, it's been always like that.0
