I'm currently temping and covering someone undergoing treatment.

This person has chemo one week, a week of feeling crap/I'll/ can't do anything, a normal week, then it all starts again.

This person has been told after treatment has concluded another 6 - 12 weeks needs to be off work, build health back up and then think about returning.

Until you know what stage you are at and how you feel while undergoing treatment you can only guess.

Wishing you the best of luck, keep planning and stay positive x
Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.

I had the same.. was diagnosed with lymphoma just as I was starting a new job. Turned out the lymphoma was an indolent type meaning that it grows slowly and they don't treat it straight away so I carried on and took the job. Three years later I needed chemo followed by radiotherapy and took the whole time off sick. I couldn't work through chemo as my job was dealing with the public and the chemo makes you immunosuppressed and pick up bugs easily. Good luck with your diagnosis and treatment.

Thank you very much for this. I am aware of the watchful waiting approach, I sort of forgot mine actually could come under that.

I hope your treatment went well and you're into remission :)
