Radio stations daily cash competitions

Having sorted out which I can enter, living where I do, I have one that calls between 3pm and 4pm and others that call after 5pm. Do the callers say who they are calling from so I can avoid giving the wrong amount of money in my answer. I have the stations on my note but I'm sure I wouldn't recognise presenters names if I got a call! Any links to recorded calls to get the idea would be appreciated. I hope the phone will ring but it would be awful to mess up at that point :p

I am hoping that they say "Hello it's so and so from xxxx radio" usually they need to plug the station as much as possible. Failing that I will ask "which radio station are you?" :)

I could see myself sounding just like my mum, "hello who's calling?"

If they have asked for the amount then the answer could be

"I'm sorry that is not the correct amount, goodbye"

as anything but the amount could be seen as stalling for time

I have won 3 radio competitions in the past, Heart, Kiss and Magic. They all tell you who they are very clearly and why they are ringing, you will definitely know which station they are from and why they are calling.

Well done, winning three of this type of competition is going some.

You can listen to the calls (well, the sometimes edited version that they air at least) on the radio players on each website to get an idea of what's said when someone answers the phone:

    https://planetradio.co.uk/hits-radio/player
    https://planetradio.co.uk/magic/player/
    https://planetradio.co.uk/wave-105/player/

Just select the day, then show and navigate to the approximate time (usually between 15-45mins after the closing time).

There are sections of the website that also have each recording listed by date, but this is sometimes just edited to the winner's reaction after being told they've won, so doesn't include the beginning of the conversation when they first pick up the phone.
