Can you?

Freeze excess bol sauce from a bottle? I have been given a jar of bol sauce, there is too much for the two of us, so I would like to freeze whats left. Is it possible? I usually make my own sauce but do not want to waste the jar

You can, but it would be better to just cook it all with extra beef, and then freeze off the potions you dont need right now. It reheats perfectly - if you do, make sure you place in freezer safe bags or containers, not the glass bottle.
  • Yes, I do this all the time with no problems. I just decant it into portion sizes in bags or boxes.
  • I sometimes use half a jar of sauce (very rarely :A) and just loosen the lid and stuff the jar into the freezer- tightening the lid once it's frozen. I could decant it, but it's already in a fairly compact storage container, so I don't.
