FTB mortgage .. have I made a mistake?

Options
Hello.

New to this so bare with me but I feel I need some reassurance or a reality check.

I'm a first time buyer and exchanged contracts on Friday of last week.
My mortgage offer is with Barclays & we're due to complete next month.

I have STUPIDLY taken out 2 cash transactions on my credit card ( both of small amounts £10 each) since my mortgage offer came through a few weeks ago. I have never done this before and was a genuine mistake as my credit card has same pin as debit ( which I have now changed )
I have also paid off in full since.

Will this result in my mortgage offer being withdrawn? Im worried Barclays will do a credit search before completion.

From a very anxious FTB.

I really doubt this would be an issue, such small amounts and paid off so quickly, even if they did do a search and it was there, I don't think it would be a red flag and detriment your application.

I, too, doubt £20 will make the difference between getting a mortgage and the offer being withdrawn but I have to wonder what such a post is doing on the "Boost Your Income" board. Perhaps you would like to sign up to a survey site to recoup your £20? I have a referral code if you want. :)
  • Oooops. Totally new to this and just figured out how to post to right forum.

You are not the first and you won't be the last, Firstmortgage. I have made the exact same mistake when I first joined so am probably owed a virtual slap. :D

Thank you for taking it in such good part and welcome to whichever forum you choose to post in.
