OR 'closing file'

Options
I went BR in January 2019. As part of a more responsible approach to finances I have joined my work pension scheme (I'm 53 and don't have a pension!). My pension contribution means that I won't have an IPA (originally set at £30pm). The OR has asked me to send proof of pension payments once they start and said "Then we can close our file in this matter"

I'm just wondering what she means about closing the file? She's on holiday at the moment so I haven't been able to ask her.

Does anyone know what happens when a file/case is closed?

Thanks

If there is nothing to distribute to creditors (you had no assets to realise etc) then there isn't much more for OR to do. It just means they no longer need to contact you unless your circumstances change.
You will be automatically discharged in 12 months from the date of the BR petition.

Thanks Gardener - that makes sense. Can't believe I only have 6 months to go until discharge! The time really does go quickly.
