Compers around Manchester area. re County

I'm just curious to know from my fellow compers who live in and around the Manchester area what you put down for your County?
Do you put Greater Manchester or Cheshire/Lancashire etc? I.m based in Stockport and I've usually put Cheshire down but Stockport is actually one the towns that make up the County of Greater Manchester. Same as Oldham/Rochdale/Bolton/Wigan make up Lancashire.
I don't think it matters that much but I am just interested to know what everybody else as put.

I am originally from Bury and it's the same there. I would always put Lancashire as that is where I was born not Greater Manchester.

It's just everyones personal preferences though really and I've never had any problems with things not arriving when I post anything back to friends and family.

I live in Manchester and I still put Lancashire, my stuff gets here fine x

It makes us sound posher putting Cheshire than Gtr Manchester I suppose.

I still think of myself as a Lancashire Lass but if the competition is Manchester based e.g. meal/hotel/tickets I put Greater Manchester.
