Text competitions on radios...

Hey

I could be reading into this too much, but given winners are selected by computers my question is this -

If the presenter says text “keyword” plus your answer (A, B, C) to a number does that mean keywordA or keyword A. I never know whether to put a space or not! And they never make it clear either!
What do we think?

    With a space.
I would assume that the keyword is just because there are probably lots of comps using the same number, so the keyword filters it to the correct "inbox". So if you put KeywordB then that txt probably won't go anywhere 'cause there'll be no filters in place for that keyword (keywordB).

Those that only require a keyword are not a problem. Many of them do specify a space after the keyword. It might not actually matter if you don't leave a space, but the proof is whether or not you receive an acknowledgement reply. I always leave a space and have always received a "successful entry" reply.

    recent examples:
Text WOTVA (space) then your answers
Text SMSTAR followed by a space then your answer
Text MYWEEKLY followed by a space then your answer
Text LIF24 then a space followed by your name
Text PFCOMP followed by a space, your name
Text BIGXWORD followed by a space, your answer
Text SWEET5 followed by a space
