Warranty on good bought from America?

Hello!
I want to buy an mp3 player from America and import it to the UK.
Ill either order it off a website, or ill buy it in a shop in America and bring it home on the plane.
My question is... Would i have a warranty if i did this?
Or would the warranty be void as soon as it leaves the country its bought in?

Many electrical items have worldwide warranties with them. However, the potential problem would be enforcing the warranty. It is possible that you would have to deal with the company in the US, rather than its UK operation, and therefore be stung for postal charges.
If you know which one you want, I would contact the company in question to clarify.Gone ... or have I?0
