So..in hindsight, I did pretty well at the zero based budgetting...I had £1.01 left in my account! It just caused me a bit of anxiety thinking that I had absolutely no money left at the end of the month...but I guess that's the point!
I have bought a organiser (I know, not very MSE) to keep me on track with my finances and my life in general and I am really hoping that this keeps me focused and on target to getting my mortgage down as quickly as possible!01.05.2019 - Re-Mortgage - £142,000 :eek::eek::eek: Total overpaid to date: £15,584.33.

Yeah I'm not sure I can cope with the anxiety of what if on a 0 budget challenge. I'm very good at not spending, so I don't think it's a challenge I need in my life. I've enough stress to get along with. :rotfl:Reduction in daily mortgage interest since October 23 (new mortgage) - £2.36 July 25
% of house owned/% of mortgage paid off. July 25 - 38.82%/31.66%

Hello! I haven't posted on here for a while but I have tried to keep to my money saving ways
Met my OP target for the 2019 mortgage challenge :T and just signed up for 2020's...I have put 12,000 as my target for the year...not sure how I am going to achieve this yet but where there is a will there is a way...
Zero based budgeting is going quite well now I have got over the anxiety of having no money at the end of the month! My focus this month is not getting carried away with the festivities and keeping my hand firmly out of my pocket! I have also managed to steer clear of the draw of Black Friday apart from a bobble hat that I had my eye on to buy in the Christmas sales
Hope everyone else is doing well!01.05.2019 - Re-Mortgage - £142,000 :eek::eek::eek: Total overpaid to date: £15,584.33.
