remortgage and adding to debt

Hi There
We are currently going through a remortgage application for our house which has been accepted and are currently waiting until the end of July to complete.
We have had our credit check by HSBC at the beginning of the application and all was good.
My wife however has seen a car that should like to buy for £3000 and would like to get it now and put it onto our credit card. Is this something that can be done Without affecting our current remortgage application with HSBC? Could they credit check us again just before completing the remortage and see additional borrowing that wasnt factored into the original credit check?
We have a good credit score and history but I wasnt sure of how you stand. Any advice much appreciated!
Thankyou

Depending on the numbers it may have an impact, in any case you should contact your lender and ask the question.0

Hi there.
Thanks for reply. The numbered, as far as LTV and debt percentage were good, as we could have borrowed more. I was sceptical when my wife mentioned about buying the car because in essence your financial situation has changed if borrowing 3000 more.0
