Poor D; you don't half get put through the mill, don't you? You have my sympathies, but you don't have any legal worries from those (bleep)0 -
Start getting ready for prison mate. I would advise two movies - Shot caller and 18 with a bullet. Watch shawshank redemption if you have the time also.0

Shawshank Redemption and get ready to hide the forks in case of need for slow digging lol.
DaftyDuck, well I guess I never get chance to be bored. I'd like a little boredom on occasions though lol.
I sincerely believe the irritation my son shows towards me is a need to live on his own. Problem is, he will need quite a bit of support. He is quite affected by the ASD, otherwise it could very easily turn into a disaster. Social services are too overworked (too many cases to handle) and he most definitely isn't the easiest client. But I have impressed on him that there is something he needs (somewhere fairly independent to live) that he can only get through social services (he has no chance with a private rental, budgeting is a huge issue even living here, and he won't accept help from me, I have tried to teach him with knowledge and the hard way - watching bad decisions and him running out of money, all with no effect) so he is going to have to put up with an imperfect social services.
One can only hope. I can see no other way forward.I keep hoping that the penny will drop and his attitude to life, people and me will change so he stops shooting himself in the foot. But he's only 22, I guess there's another 20 years to go yet. I love him very much but I think the only answer to help him move forward is more independent living. I'm part of the problem (because I am stupid old mum who knows nothing), not the solution. I wish it wasn't this way. So so much.0 -
Not all areas but too many in my experience public services are very adept at spotting cases where if they don't provide the support someone will step in.0
