Selling baby hampers

Hiya, I am looking to get some advice on a side business making baby hampers. I wanted to get some advice on the types of things that would be good to put in there and how much you think a reasonable amount would be to price them?

Also, where would be the best place to sell them? I have made some and put them on facebook marketplace but haven't had much interest and I am wondering whether that is due to the hampers, the price or I'm just pitching to the wrong crowd?

I am also thinking about making some handmade crocheted booties/hats and blankets to go in them as a USP. Do you think this is something that people would like?

It would be really helpful to get your feedback, happy to share pictures or more info on the hampers if it helps.

Facebook marketplace seems to be the best place, my own groups and feeds are full of them, just searching in marketplace I can find dozens of nappy cakes and baby hampers for sale. Personally, and this is not a market I sell in, I think the market is saturated, some of these baskets seem to be about the same price as the contents, the sellers must be barely breaking even due to competition. Due to these baby baskets and nappy cakes being so popular amongst sellers I can see why you struggled to find a market.

You might need to make yours different somehow to attract any attention, I noticed a seller recently who seemed to do well with premmie baskets , basically things that a premmie baby would need- but she also offered a drop off service locally so you could send a basket of essentials to a friend of relative whose baby arrived early, she also did A new mum basket with things like lip salve, tea bags, nice biscuits etc, just bits and bobs for the new mum .

The issue always though is how to pay, this lady took PayPal which as she was hand delivering would not be safe for,her, however suggesting bank transfer would also put a lot of buyers off as they would just see their money going to a stranger with no idea if the recipient would get the item or not.

As a general thing though I've noticed that sellers on marketplace seem to do better if they offer a delivery service, but as above that comes with all sorts of issues around payment, plus adds expense on to the seller's costs which are often overlooked.
