hi there i'm new here but i feel i have exhausted every avenue.
Basically I have been looking for work but previously had a very high profile, i cant seem to get a normal job, they either say im not suitable or dont have the experience.
I cant sign on just now as i have some royalties coming in but theyre not covering my bills i have.I have a lot of debt and am considering selling my house or going bankrupt.
My girlfriend doesnt seem to understand i can't fund the life i used to be able to, and i dont know what the alternatives are.
not sure where to go from here to be honest, i feel a bit stuck

Plenty of experienced advisors here. Or you can go to one of your local debt charities.
If you want help here, you should do a statement of account showing your income/expenditure and the list of debts. A debt charity would require the same.
It's all about matching your free cash to your debt payments and seeing if you need to go bankrupt or find another debt solution. There are a number of options and you need the one best matched to your circumstances.Unlike some here, I am not omniscient. If I am wrong correct me. I won't take offence.

On the job front sign up with as many agencies as possible. From experience they often lead to long term assignments or job offers. Good luck.0

Post an soa up as a start. Tell your girlfriend you can no longer live that lifestyle. If she loves you she will stand by you. If she goes you know she was only with you for the trappings. Don't sell your house unless it is a really ridiculous mansion which is completely unaffordable now for you. Those types of houses take a long time to sell though normally.
Going bankrupt is a serious step. You have an asset like a house, maybe a car? You should exhaust all other avenues first.

You mention royalties - if you are a musician, could you look at either private lessons in house, or via a music school to keep some cash flow? Is there any session or dep work available?LBM 11/06/2010: DFD 30/04/2013Total repaid: £10,490.310

Have you thought about selling your royalty stream and using the money to then to kickstart a business (please don't open a recording studio, it's dead money!). Or, use the money to pay some of your mortgage off?
Recently, I noticed Tony McCarroll of Oasis fame started doing after dinner speeches, depending on your profile, this could be a a go-er. I know there are websites out there that specialise in this. I know as I booked Embrace's drummer, the singer from the Inspirals and Martyn Ware (Heaven 17/Human League) for my students.
There's also DJ sets. I know Hooky from New Order is doing this and making a killing. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0
