Nationwide remortgages - £100 discount on arrangement fees?

My two year Nationwide tracker is coming to an end this month so before making appointment to see them, I did a bit of researching. Phoned up Tesco and the helpful guy said it was common for Nationwide to give existing customers £100 discount off any arrangement fees. When I asked about this discount at my appointment, Nationwide manager said at first he was uncertain as he had been away for a week and then looked at some papers and then said it was something they used to do but not anymore!! I just got the impression that this £100 discount was arbitrary and possibly given depending on how much the customer would complain. My question is: Does this £100 discount exist and have others received it recently when remortgaging? Thanks.

They used to offer £100 off the product fee for existing customers but that looks to have been removed now and replaced with the special 'switcher' 5 year fixed rate deal instead.0
