Hi, I’m not sure if this is the right place to post. However I need some advice.
Since April I’ve been receiving text messages from ‘Lantern’ first asking me to access my Lantern account (I’ve never owned one or even heard of Lantern) or call them using a reference number. I ignored it. I received a second text two days later stating it is an “urgent” request and again, asking me to log in or to call them quoting the same reference.
Since then, I’ve received two text messages, one a month later and one today stating they’ve recently contacted me regarding an “offer that is about to expire”??? And again to call using the same reference.
I’ve researched this company and they are apparently debt collectors? I’ve took out pay day loans in the past with Wongo, however I’ve always paid them either early or on time in full with no issues. I don’t owe any company any money and I’m certainly not in debt!!
Do I keep ignoring these text messages? I have tried to block the number but for some reason I’m unable to as I still receive their text messages.
