Store refusing to accept a return

I bought an item online. When it arrived it was slightly damaged. I emailed the retailer who offered me a partial refund which I was happy with at the time. A couple of days later I changed my mind about the item and emailed them to request a return for a refund of the rest of the price. Unfortunately they are now saying they won’t accept the item as a return now. This was never stated to me when they offered me a partial refund, I wasn’t informed of any new or altered terms and conditions.
Any advice? (Aside from never shopping there again and giving feedback via the Feefo email I’ve just received...). Thanks.

You've accepted the item by accepting the partial refund. Nothing more you can do about it now.
And don't leave them unduly negative feedback, they made an offer to recompense the sight damage which you accepted, you had your chance to refuse that and ask for a full refund, and you did not, then changed your mind. This was your issue and not theirs, you would have been within your right to refuse and ask for a full replacement, but you chose not to go that route.(Although I could be wrong, I often am.)0
