Many videos about "body recomposition" on youtube, i dont have permission to post links. Jeremy Ethier: youtu.be/rkv1fpWLy0Q . You can also check out athleanx (he has a video on why you shouldnt bulk and cut, dont do his weird exercises you will just injure yourself) and Jeff Nippard youtube channels. They try to be more scientific by quoting studies. Take pretty much all bodybuilding information with a pinch of salt though as the whole industry was founded & comprises of people using non natural methods and they make this content for profit not to be kind.

I can go into more detail but basically eat more protein & stick to a few simple exercises that you feel comfortable with. Dont get carried away, dont injure yourself and dont wear out your joints.

. Useful home equipment: push up handles, a TRX or copycat if you have somewhere to attach it, a pull up bar, and dumbells.

I can photoshop it if you like - that's the easiest option :)  Then you can continue to eat cakes and watch tv.
On a serious note - you definitely need more than cardio - as I speak from experience - I solely did cardio and had a healthy diet - lost 30kg - but was still flabby - haven't yet gotten into some of the things mentioned here to improve matters. I know I need to - but I'm a bit of a weakling - and don't fancy trying to do all these things with weights with all those other experienced guys around huffing and puffing lifting 90kg and more. Yes we all have to start somewhere - cardio has helped me with weight loss - but I too need to take the step into the next phase of trying to get some tone.
  • Basic press ups can be very effective. You don’t need any equipment and you can do them anywhere. Combined with a good diet and lots of walking and some running works for me.

I guess the OP is growing his hair first to match the pic of the body he'd like to have...

I agree with Deleted_User you have to find something you enjoy doing and keep doing it 3 or 4 times a week for quite a long time to see significant results.  Weight training is brilliant but you need to know how to lift weights safely and effectively, I would always want to mix some cardio in too.  Focus on the exercise and you will naturally want to eat better.  One simple change that helps is to minimise the processed food you eat and cut down on alcohol if you drink.  Small steps sustained over a long period of time will be easier to stick to.
Something you enjoy is the key.  I love cycling and will happily spend hours in the saddle.
  • I suggest you to combine cardio and strength workouts. squats, deadlifts, benchpresses nothing build physique faster than these exercises. drink more water and forget about "liquid calories". And remember building muscles and burning fat is long journey, don't expect fast results.
