Yes, but if both of OP's pensions are TPS (and they almost certainly are) then we're not talking 'small pot' - we're talking combined value of both records.

I've clearly overthought this additional pension.....

I phoned this morning and was told that I can claim my additional pension now and get 85% of the £17 pa or wait until I retire and get the full amount.
It seems that I have to take 25% tax free lump sum.

The payments will go out with my TP that I'm already getting.


I'm keen to get this settled as it will hang about at the back of my mind as 'something still to do'.
So I'm prepared to take the drop of £2.55 pa
