thanks to diabeticguy over on hotdeals u.k. this remote control wall socket plug looks good, it is from Aldi £9.99 can control 4 plugs and you dont need to have an empty space in front of them to work according to the commentsl cant get it *LINK* from the site only from UK Hot deals * go to deal *though maybe someone can do it please.

I bought a set of these from Aldi and they are excellent they even have dimmers for lights

I bought a new set of these from lidl about 2 months ago when they had them on offer - they came up just at the right time as our other set had just died - we paid about £40 originally for them from wickes so these are a complete bargain - we have 2 downstairs - 1 for the light/fire and 1 for the pc/ds charger, 1 in the dining room for the lights and 1 in my sons room for his light/cd player (he's only 2 so can't do it himself) - when I know he's asleep I can turn it all off without disturbing him by doing into the room - at this price these are a complete bargain.

i would have never seen these in store as they were hidden at the side and not marked well. great for disabled folk!
