I have a relative who is terminally ill and is over the inheritance tax threshold. His son is a qualified nurse, if he was to give him full-time care, can he be paid tax free from the estate?

It can be stressful enough nursing strangers in their last months of life - would this put too much pressure on his son?

It's not worth keeping money away from the taxman if it causes health problems.
