Friend using address, selling house

Hi,
I wanted to see if anyone could clarify this for me. Currently have our house up for sale. My friend needs to use an address so he can get mail while he organises mooring for his boat (which will be his residence).
Question is, would allowing him to use our address cause us any issues when we come to sell and port our mortgage? Not sure if the mortgage company / surveyor / credit rating, would be able to see and if have a negative affect.
Just wanted to check to be sure before we said yes.
Thanks

.

There should be no problem since bad credit for example isn't linked to properties but people, but in the real world, it might cause issues so I wouldnt risk it ,when you are selling a house its a stressful enough process as it is.

Imagine for example if your lender don't believe that you do not have another adult living there since clearly someone else has their bank council tax insurance etc details as being at your property. "on a boat" you say "pull the other one" they say". Then they insist on them signing an agreement to say they wont insist on living there should you be repossessed and you cant get hold of your mate since he's off up a canal somewhere or even worse youve fallen out and he wont sign.
There was a post here a few weeks back from someone with an adult son off travelling in Oz who couldnt get a signed document from them in these type of circumstances.

Or he could keep his current address and get his mail kept for him to pick up at the sorting office:
