If its a DD itll be covered by the DD guarantee.
I'm guessing you mean standing order? Why are Next refusing to budge? Are they struggling to trace the money?0 -
If it's a direct debit, they can't refuse to return it under the DD Guarantee

If it's a direct debit, why would Next take a payment at all if the account had a zero balance?0

Anyway, if the account is clear then they must refund the balance. The bank should also refund if asked.0 -

a standing order is something you control and you give the money to the retailer. This is something you need to cancel.0 -

There's no reason they would say that at all.
Are you sure you haven't just made that up?0 -
My bank says they can't help. I can't get to a someone with clout at Next . Interesting that they took the money when I had paid in full and closed account ...I 've no idea what to do next .0
