Where should we save our deposit?

My partner and I are currently saving for a deposit on our first home together. I am a FTB, he is not (although he is not currently an owner).
Where should we keep our savings? We are aiming for somewhere in the region of £20-30k. I’ve heard of LISAs and HTBISAs but I hear they are capped and some only suitable for FTBs? Can we have more than one? Could I use a FTB ISA even though the mortgage would have him on it? If it’s capped at 4K where should we save the rest?
Any advice greatly appreciated!
