Congratulations on being debt neutral and so pleased to hear you are moving now to a saving mindset and setting up pots etc. So much less stressful to feel in control of finances. First things first will be to get used to the new budget. I've got some savings pots but need to think about opening interest paying savings accounts. The I'd like to build more of an emergency fund over the next few months, maybe save and go away in the summer, then save save save to pay down the mortgage. Im on a really low interest mortgage for the next 4 years so makes sense to save it until the fixed deal ends then payoff as much as possible to get another fixed deal. Depending on the situation with interest rates at that time.
I am having to buy a bridle for DH though to hold him back from spending. He's a right pain.

Just discovered your diary today and wanted to say well done on being debt free
we paid off our debts last year and FIL very kindly paid off our mortgage but kind off sad and an anti climax as was only done after MIL passed away and I don’t think would have been done otherwise
I’ve just for first time been looking at savings accounts etc but hubby is being made redundant this week and not sure yet if another job as waiting to hear back so fingers crossed 🤞0
