Self employed mortgage

Hi, my husband is self employed and employed both part time. We will be looking to move house in 2 years and I'm just checking what is required for the self employed info i.e. is it just the tax return doc from HMRCs site or do they need the back up too like, list of expenses/mileage? Also I read you need an accountant to file it for you, we don't use an accountant will this matter?

If you file your husbands tax return online yourselves, you need to download the tax calculations and tax year overviews for each tax year from HMRC Gateway.

The latest three years tax clicks and tyo’s will satisfy all lenders provided the latest set relate to a tax year which ended no more than 18 months ago.

If there is also employed income you will be asked to provide your latest three months payslips (8 weeks if paid weekly) and latest P60.
