I just contacted Dorset Cereals, via the contact form on their site, to say that I would feel cheated if I lost all my tokens with nothing to show for it. I explained that I'm not interested in winning a holiday, but have been waiting patiently for them to offer one of their 'cereal in exchange for tokens' deal. I also said that if they weren't prepared to do that, they should at least consider running a prize draw for cereal in exchange for our remaining tokens.

I may be wrong, but I have a feeling that if enough of us contacted them along those lines, they might go for it.

They could say

Thank you for contacting us, I am pleased to be able to inform you that not only can you already exchange your tokens for the various discounts on offer there will also be Dorset Cereals available at 50% off for only 1,000 tokens per box and a final raffle where all remaining tokens will automatically be entered into a final draw for one box of our delicious cereal

Seriously though, I'd settle for a final prize draw, I remember when they used to have a 1,000 prizes on offer at a time and it would be nice if they finished like that.

Lovely reply from Dorset's Digital Manager:

"I can completely understand.

There is currently a technical situation with the online shop which is preventing the exchange of tokens for product as was once available. This is more complicated than I had imagined and I want to make sure that the shop that we bring back is right, rather than rushing to get something live which causes even more consumer frustration. I am unsure whether the shop will be back before the end of the year, and if it is, whether the functionality to exchange tokens for product will have been corrected.

I am also working on reconfiguring the Spin to Win to give the chance to win discount coupons for product rather than tokens, so that this brings back the opportunity to win the chance to experience our products – albeit in a slightly different way. There is a bigger project and I imagine would be live in September.

Your suggestion around a prize draw for cereal is a really interesting one and is certainly something I’ll look into."

I traded in my unused tokens as entries to their final raffle but have seen nothing since. Does anyone know if the raffle ever took place?
