Ok so my disgusting APRs (before this, I NEVER paid interest, always moved it and obv now I'm out of options)

MBNA 0% till Jan 2020, then goes to 27.93%
    1643 owed

    Halifax 18.95%
    1616 owed

    Barclaycard 16.68%
    1223 owed

The good potential news is that OH has 2 interviews on Friday for higher positions in his company, and I have an interview next week for some part time work at mcdonalds.

I'm not sure what kind of increase OH would/could get, but if I get a second job we'll be so much better off so fingers crossed.

I used the snowball calculator and that was mega depressing if I continue with the minimum payments, so I've worked out a good increase (should a 2nd job materialise) and can suddenly pay it off in 13 months.
So. As usual pinning all my hopes on this possibility but if it doesn't work out I know there's be other options in the future. Staying positive.

Oh and shopping - yes. I usually shop at morrisons/asda because, again, I'm lazy. However we do go to our local Aldi whenever possible and really do love shopping there.

My friend, who is also struggling, is going to come over and we'll meal plan together and hold each other accountable and hopefully share some ideas. I've got loads of food ideas now, it's just getting it all together and batch cooking, or at least batch prepping, at the weekend!

Excellent idea - and yes being accountable can really help - this is the reason why a diary thread on here is often a god idea as it makes you feel you have to stick at it!

Good luck with all the interviews!

    Too late but why Norwich?

It's cheaper than the South but still relatively expensive.

Bigest problem for us is back end of nowhere when some of your life(family friends etc) are elsewhere.

Norwich because we wanted to move to a cheaper area, which it massively was compared to Seaford 3 years ago (£975 rent 2 bed flat, compared to £550 rent 3 bed house), also because one of my closest friends lives here so at least we have someone if that makes sense.
Neither of us would be very comfortable much further away from family.

    Nothing hugely helpful :rotfl:
Me and above mentioned friend did a car boot sale yesterday and while we sold some bits which is great as they were bulky, de-cluttering etc, it wasn't as much as we were hoping for.

We'd probably continue to do it for some extra money but it's generally old baby/kids clothes etc which didn't seem hugely popular.
