Proving Long Term Deposit Savings - How far back do they need?

I am a first time buyer and I've been saving up for a deposit over the course of 10 years and am looking to purchase a property with a mortgage.
I know I need to prove how the deposit built up by bank statements, but since I have been accumulating savings for a long time, do I need statements for the entire 10 years? Am a little worried as my bank only has statements going as far back as 5 years, will that be a problem?
How many years statements do I need to provide or must it be all the years? What do I do if it has to be all 10 years?

It's not going to be 10 years or even 5. Often it's only a few months. But there is no standard requirement.0

You’ll likely need no more than the last 3 months or so.
It will depend on the lender and Solicitor but if you have access to the last 5 years you’ll be fine.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it. We only had to provide 3 months worth and an annual statement of our savings accounts. This way they could see regular deposits being made. They didn't ask for any statements to justify the whole balance.
Hope this helps.Bought First Home - June 2018 Starting £218,500 June 2020 £203,800.95 :T MFW 2020 #78 - Target £3000 - So far... £2182/£3000
