I'm potentially starting a new role on a higher salary but me and my partner are going to be getting a mortgage within the next 7 months.
Will my job change effect our ability to get a mortgage?
For some context, I have switched jobs a few times in the last few years for better salary but I have no gaps in my employment and have remained in the same industry.
Thank you in advance!

Maybe at the margins depending on whether you are on probation, how new the job is, etc.
However (assuming that you'll be on a permanent contract and no gaps), from experience I can confirm that there will still be plenty of mainstream lenders willing to lend at competitive rates. For example, Halifax was happy to lend with just one payslip and didn't care about the borrower being on probation. Barclays needs you to have 3 months in the current role OR 18 months with no employment gap. So you should still have plenty of options.
Assuming you will use a broker and there aren't any other complications, the change in your job by itself should not cause any issues.I'm potentially starting a new role on a higher salary but me and my partner are going to be getting a mortgage within the next 7 months.

Time in job can affect the scoring of your application, but so can higher income.
If the change in job affects your application, I would say you were probably borderline anyway.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it.
