    Thanks for the "Gigs&Tours" link..

I just have one question that I hope somebody can help me with. I bought the tickets with a face value of £42. I'm hoping that these will be standing tickets and the more expensive ticks at £46 are seqated?

    Can anyone confirm?

ps also it says that a signiture is required on delivery of the ticks, does have to be myself or can anyone sign as prrof of delivery?

    Thankyou in advance.

The ones i bought were £46 general admission.. assumed general admission meant standing.... were there standing tickets too?
  • I looked on other forums after I posted this and it appears that "general admission" does mean standing at pitch level thankfully.

But does anyone know if I personally have to sign when the tickets are delivered or will any sig do?

    Cheers
  • Normally signed for by anyone at the address, or if a very good postie and neighbours by them.
You cant take the trousers off an elephant!
  • I just wanted to say a HUGE thanks to Greytroot for posting the pre-sale info for gigs & tours!

I pre-ordered the Foo's new album from iTunes so that I would get a password for the ticketmaster pre-sale.

It came through yesterday and guess what.... Ticketmaster's computer system didn't recognise it!!!

I phoned Ticketmaster & they couldn't have cared less (which I was really miffed at as I buy tonnes of tickets from them!) and they told me to phone iTunes customer services which they didn't have a number for and I couldn't find online (saw loads of posts about it being like looking for a needle in a haystack!) .
The woman at Ticketmaster told me that they had loads & loads of people phoning in and complaining, so goodness knows what iTunes were playing at

After an hour of hitting my head against a cyber-wall I was almost on the verge of giving up until I Googled "Foo fighters pre sale password" and came across the post by the wonderful person on here :T

I managed to order 12 tickets for me & my friends (they will be eBayed over my dead body!) so we're going to see them

So a last THANK YOU to Greytoot I owe you tonnes! :smileyhea

    xxxx
  • Sorry forgot to say in last post Chuffy I am a true fan & I have never had any notifications of pre-sales from the Foo's official e-mails so I don't know which one you subscribe too???

I had to book the ones for Cardiff & the O2 on Friday as I didn't realise there was a pre-sale for the tour just past, so some of us true fans are very appreciative of greytroot

I signed up with 2 email addresses to ensure I get the alerts.
The point was that there were loads of posts last time about people complaining about people who didn't sign up getting tickets instead of those that did.
It happens every time - if people really really really want to see a band, it doesn't take much to sign up to a mailing list. That's what I do. If I'm not that bothered, then I'll chuck my hat in the ring and try on the date of general release.
The idea of the pre-sale is to notify those who have expressed an interest in that band. I know touts will be signed up and will get their allocation from the same emails but for casual fans to get their tickets over the 'signed up' fans is what gets me. Other people have posted this as a suggestion: post the pre-sale link about 12:00 (noon) so those signed up can get their tickets first.
I'm sorry you didn't get your email and I'm glad you go the tickets you wanted.
I've done now. I suppose the worry about not getting tickets got me overexcited.

Foo fighters have announced an extra date at wembley Friday 6th june, announced today by Jo Whiley on |Radio 1

Not sure when these are on sale!!

I also understand that it will be a central revolving stage so in Dave Grohls words
"everyone will be in spitting distance of the band"

I cant afford to go, seen them twice this year at V & Birmingham ,,,,,,,i will have to be content with that.....sigh!
