Hi
Hope someone can help - my girls have expressed a desire to learn to cross stitch and I saw some attractive kits for beginners in John Lewis (don't appear to be available online!) a while back but can't recall the brand!
Can anyone recommend a good website with some brightly coloured girly cross stitch kits please? :money: of course!
Cheers and thanks!

Not sure if they have them for children, but Readicut do a good range of crafts, including cross stitch. www.readicut.co.ukThe bigger the bargain, the better I feel.
I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.0 -
Why not check out ebay. For one of my girls when she was young I bought a small sewing box, aida fabric, scissors, silks, needles, small hoop to keep fabric tight when sewing and a pattern book of some really easy designs. She is an adult now and is really creative so the kit paid off. When we go see her next, lives abroad, she wants to learn how to knit as she is pregnant with number 1. Getting children involved with craftwork is fantastic as they don't learn it at school. You can get larger hole aida if you feel it is needed.Nothing Changes if Nothing Changes0

My daughter got given a couple of cross stitch kits - meant to be easy but not so! For her 8th birthday she got given a couple of Galt kits - First Sewing and First Knitting (french knitting) - she's enjoyed both, although the First Sewing was by far the best and I would definitely recommend that if yours are into craft. I'm still trying to find cross stitch squares which are larger than the norm!0

Thanks - will check out readicut and ebay. Any advice on which brand or type I should look for? I know that larger cross stitch holes are easier but don't know what the fabric is called or size! Any advice welcomed!
Cheers!0
