    £411 debt payments for September!

Can’t believe just how quick this month has gone already, 2 weeks in already and I go on holiday on the 20th. Debt over payments are on hold until I’ve saved up spending money from selling stuff, only a little more to go until I can buy Euros. Then as soon as I’m home I’ll be hitting the overpayments hard.

I’ve just managed to switch CC to a 0% for 29 months so I’m really pleased about that, I’m not spending anything on it at all but the interest on the old car was crippling and this years misfortunes impacted my credit score, so I’m happy to see that I’ve got it to a level where I’m accepted for good rates. My goal is to clear the CC by March. Why March? The boyfriend and I have decided to take the jump and move in together, his tenancy renews then and it’s a nice time for me-after the kids birthdays have been done and a new financial year starts.

Business is going really *really* well and I need to keep this momentum going, I’ll lose all tax credits when boyf moves in so I need to replace all that income with my own, plus cover the extra tax. Im in a position to be able to pay myself more too which will help massively with overpayments. As tough as it’s been, I’m enjoying the challenge and pushing myself. It’s forcing me to be organised, frugal and resourceful.

DS is home! Sadly, his dad didn’t take the news well and the tuition he had arranged for my DS is no longer being funded by him (and refuses to pay half, think throwing toys out of pram) so as it’s really helping DS I’m continuing it. DD starts her 11+ tuition tomorrow too. Both tuitions combined will set me back circa £300pm. I know. But DS’s tuition is only until May/June when he sits his GCSE’s(and may get reduced before then depending on Mock results next month) DD’s is a little longer- September when the test rolls around.

Things we do for our kids!

I’ll be back with an update after my hols, enjoy the second half of October x

    October

    CC £3983
    Overdraft £0
    Paypal Working Capital £358
    Loan £7232
    Energy Company £80.33

    £11483.33

    £29.67 debt payments for September!

Ok, so explaining to do here. I did actually pay off a lot more that than figure suggests bud I did a 0% balance transfer to a new CC and they charged a £116 fee. That’s ok, I’m no longer paying interest and that’s a win in my book!
The energy company bill is a final bill that needs clearing, it was charged after I cleared off the debt.

Not a lot was thrown into debt this month as I cash flowed the holiday spending money and eBay has been terrible for sales with the god awful glitches on the site. I haven’t stopped listing and have a new pile of stuff to photograph and list this weekend.

Holiday was lovely :D I took 300 euros with us for all spends for 3 of us for 5 nights and came home with 60 euros! It’s the first time in a month I didn’t have headaches every day and within and hour of landing back at Gatwick, I had a thumping headache. Possibly stress, no, probably stress. I’m on a tight budget and although I’ve paid myself more than usual for November, there still isn’t much left over. Every penny is accounted for and I need to give myself a little wiggle room. The kids tuition is paid for the month along with the other bills, but I’m very aware the next 5 months will be tough with loved ones birthdays every. single. month, Christmas, car stuff, and the boyf moving in in March. My income will change dramatically with the loss of tax credits and I have to make sure my self employed income is reliable and replaces what will be lost. Yes, he will pay his way but I need to pay mine too, and cover all my personal bills and the kids things. I don’t expect him to help with kids things as they aren’t his children (although I’m positive he’ll take them on as his own and want to help, but there’s no expectation from me)

So with only 4 months until he moves in, I’d like to have the CC paid off, that’d give me an extra £130 to throw toward debt or house deposit savings. We’re on a bit of a tight schedule when it comes to buying a house as we have a small window of opportunity to relocate in 21 months. I’ll have to sit down and do the sums and figure out what’s financially the better option.

Anyway, I’ve rambled on quite enough, I do hope you are all well.

    Speak soon x
