Help to buy isa

Hi all
I have a help to buy isa for myself and I’ve just discovered you can’t use the bonus to pay for deposit.
Plus there two types of deposits so that means double the money doesn’t it.
I thought I could save so much and then the government gives 25% which goes towards deposit for the house. Thank you.
