Hmm, I get dry eyes and eat low carb. I hadn't connected the two until your post! I use Optrex Actimist which helps a lot, and sometimes viscotears which you can buy over the counter at the pharmacy, but an open tube only has a 28 days shelf life.Make £2025 in 2025

I have only been doing it for about a month and had been wondering what on earth it was and asked myself what I had changed and the obvious thing was a change in diet, then looked on the net and a lot of people have been mentioning this and they have been on low carb diets or keto but I haven't found a difinitive answer yet,I got Hypromellose eye drops from boots0

Oh didn't realise the two were connected either. I suffer with dry eyes at night only and use an Optrex spray. Previous to the Optrex I used a different product, it was thicker/gel like and I much preferred that. Going to get that when the current bottle is out of date.Thrifty Till 50 Then Spend Till the End

After reading a lot about dry eye Omega 3 oil was mentioned a lot,so I purchased some strong Omega 3 fish oil tablets from Holland and Barret in a red see through tub they say 1500mg on the front,I don't take 3 a day,I just use 2 with meals so they last longer and they last 30 days then as you get 60 in the tub,it may be just coincidence but other people said that the dry eye went a day or after starting to take them,my dry eye has gone now.
The oil tablets are massive so you can imagine 2 of those will nicely disperse the oil to parts of the dody that requires it quite easily.
I hope that helps somebody if they want to try it.1 -
i used to try keto diet and it did work for me. but i abandoned it after a doctor friend of mine advised me against keto. he said its great for losing weight but bad for cardio health.
i was a little bit worried since i am not those with great exercise routine.. sigh.
i try to eat more vegetables now and cut down on both carbs and meat. not as tasty as keto, to be honest, but i need to try0 -
I have been low carb since finding out I was diabetic a month ago, type 2, I have 1 to 1.5 more stones to get back to average weight and then will tweak my diet,I have already added some more complex carbs,I didn't even know about keto until after I had started this.
I have started a brisk walk in the early morning and at 7pm which takes 30 mins each session and my legs are getting stronger.
After losing weight from 16 stone the exercise is pleasurable,I'm now 13.5stones and I look forward to the walks,I bought a second hand exercise bike and have have a 15 min 3.5 mile cycle on that and have gone up a gear on that since getting fitter and will move up another gear next month,I lost a stone of that from eating a bit a better since xmas and 1.5 stone lost since diagnosis a month ago0 -
I've been doing low carb for about 4 years now. It's noticeable now when I eat carbs, not long after I often find myself falling asleep.
I do take Omega 3, perhaps I need to up the dose a bit.Make £2025 in 2025
