Industrial Tribunal Award - finance advice

Hi All
Firstly, what a wonderful site this is! think you will be seeing a lot of me over the coming months
am looking for a bit of financial advice regarding an industrial tribunal award.
The wife left a job without giving notice, her employer deducted 400 quid as a penalty, we went to tribunal, they never turned up, a default judgement in her favour was awarded to her. (May 2007).
The employer refused to give any indication when a payment would be made, so a court order was made (notice to enforce an award) in september 2007.
I thought that might have made them pay, but they simply seem to have ignored it. My problem is that I think I should be doing more, although I don't know what that is, or if there is some sort of time limit for the employer to come up with the cash. I am aware that I can ask the courts to collect the money, but again am unsure of timings.
does anyone have any thoughts on best practice, in this particular situation.
any advice would be greatly appreciated.
......apologies if i am in the wrong place, but this forum seemed to be the best place for such advice

thank floss2 :-)
that is essentially the advice that I followed, the employer has been served with a 'notice to enforce an award' from the county court. but still have'nt been paid .....the question is really, what do i do next0 -
Might be worth giving the court a ring to see if you can get a warrant of execution - ie send in the bailiffs.

You can now go on to further enforce your order. Have a look at the link below for the various enforcement options available x x

blimey, thanks everyone .....spoke to the courts about executing the order, forms on the way ..... then the wife rings up and says a cheque from her x-employer has landed on the doorstep ....the power of positive mental thinking eh??? .....should go towards the demand for a 2 year old water bill also received today0

aha.........the old 'money is coming easily to me' mantra..........repeat 10 times daily for instant results..........
Well done. Excellent result (the money , not the 2 year old water bill - yuck!)"Stay Wonky":D

Are you sure you owe the water bill, i have been recently told that they cannot collect utilities after 12 months so it would be worth checking with national debt helpline on this one.0

alas, have found the original bill from may 2006, it was a final bill from the old house, which was sent to our new address. I've forgotten about it and so have south staffs water by the looks of it ...just gonna be 56 beer tokens short this weekend :-)0
