Pensions Age Discrimination Case

I’ve recently become aware of the Judges/Fire Service Pensions Court of Appeal ruling and am confused about the potential impact to others in Civil Service pension schemes. If the Govt don’t get leave to appeal, could the outcome potentially mean ALL those who were previously in the ‘Classic’ scheme were discriminated against, or just those who were subject to the transitional arrangements, which I narrowly missed? Hoping someone could educate me on this please as I have been advised by my GP to apply for ERDIH. Reasonable adjustments have been exhausted and I am back on sick leave with sick pay about to run out. Under the old Classic I would have to show I was incapable of doing my current job for the next 12 years whereas under Alpha I need to show I am incapable of doing ANY job for another 20 years. The difference is huge in obtaining ERDIH and also financially. I have 30 years service, all bar 4 under ‘Classic’. Many thanks in anticipation of some clarity and guidance.
