You seem to be heavily hinting that you feel you shouldn't have to pay back the first lot of money. Assuming it was an over payment and the breakdown is correct then you do need to pay this back. Ignorance of the circumstances isn't a good enough reason for you to keep it, nor is you having spent it all.
I agree with some of the others, offering a reasonable payment plan will likely be the best outcome, potentially with an initial lump sum from the second amount.0
