santander mortgage

Hi all
I've applied for a santander mortgage and surprised how quickly they arrange the survey.
When do they send your mortgage application to the underwriters- before or after valuation?

    Often at the same time, they run the two processes in parallel to try and reduce the wait for an offer.

    Thanks. If the applicant doesn't meet the underwriters criteria will it be rejected before the valuation- to save the applicant having to pay the fee?

    We've submitted ours too yesterday to Santander! It was instantly approved, they didn't want any proofs which was surprising!
    But we did ours through a broker who's now away so cant chase up when Santander will be doing their valuation!


    Good luck with yours, guess its just a waiting game for the offers now!

    I’ve just been through Santander via broker. Full app was thurs 30th and received offer yest. Thurs 6th :T
