Its still underway at the moment. They ask for alot of documentation before offer. Yes its the 2 year fixed product. My partner has been with her current job 7 months, 7 weeks left on her probationary period (was extended from 6 months to 8) shes always been in customer service which meets their criteria re probationary but they are insisting she provides a letter to say she has passed?? They also want pay slips from her old job from 2 years ago which is a bit baffling to us. Its being looked at this week so ill know more. Hopefully we get an offer as contracts have come so the developers will want to exchange pretty soon. Ill keep this updated for anyone else in future. I thought my bad credit would be the hold up, seems not in this case.0

Bit of an update for anyone interested. Mortgage co wont give us an offer until my partners probation has passed. Thatsnin 6 and half weeks. Contracts have come but our solicitor has queried a few points, mainly that there is no completion date on them. So were a bit stuck. We either try another lender. Remove my partner and drop our share to 30% to hit affordability on a single application. All of which means changing the contracts. Or wait it out and hope they dont push to exchange within the 6 and half weeks. They caused the original delay in the 28 day exchange date as contracts werent sent out on time. Another option is to ask for more time but theres no real reason why they would. All this and they havent even started building the house yet 0

Did you end up getting the mortgage?0

Yes. Through a. Broker with kent reliance. House still isnt started yet though and the offers run out. There offers only.last 3 months which is a bit of a headache when you get a new build and they dont start it 5 months after it was meant to be finished0
