Another new Take a Break magazine

Hi, just to let you all know there's a new magazine out that I've bought today - Take a Break Pets. There are competitions but currently there is no form to enter these on the Take a Break website. When it's live and I have a link I'll post the competitions from this magazine.

While I'm here...a few weeks ago I posted the competitions from the new Take a Break Makes magazine issue 1 and said I would continue to post them from further issues. I've been looking out for the next issue but have been unable to find it. I've emailed them to ask whether they'll be continuing to publish it. Hopefully it won't be too long before I receive a reply and when I do I'll let you all know what they say.

Take a Break Makes is a new magazine for the enthusiastic crafter created by the team behind the women’s weekly magazine and is the first of a number of specials planned in 2019.
Take a Break Makes hits newsstands on Thursday 7 March, priced at £1.99 and will remain on sale for eight weeks. Further issues of Take a Break Makes will be published in 2019 if newsstand sales targets are achieved, say the publishers.

Presumably "pets" will also depend on sales

Take a Break Pets is a is a must-read for all animal owners and lovers created by the team behind the best-selling women’s weekly magazine and is the second of a number of specials planned in 2019 - Take a Break Makes was published in March.

Thanks mjm3346. It'll be interesting to see what other specials they are planning for this year and whether they will achieve the sales to continue to publish them!

It's a shame they stopped the recipe one - I had a few of mine published (paid it £25 a time) but was really annoyed after I had spent lots of time creating, cooking, photographing, writing up and sending in my recipes only for the magazine to close with no notice!


Maybe there will be new opportunities in the latest specials.

I've had a response from Take a Break regarding my question about further issues of Take a Break Makes magazine. They have confirmed it was a one-off special and there are no plans at present to publish further editions. I'm a little disappointed as I quite enjoyed this mag...never mind!

So, I'm guessing that Take a Break Pets will also be a one-off special, but I will keep an eye out for future issues and also any other specials they may publish.

That's a shame, I enjoyed the Take a Break Makes mag, been looking for the next issue, thanks for letting us know.
