I'm not sure I have posted this in the right place so please redirect me if there is a more suitable forum.
These are loans taken out between 94 and 98 so the old style ones, I had been deferring no problem for years then a few years ago when Erudio took over either I messed up or they did but it seems my deferment never went through (but I never realised) I hadn't given my bank details so they couldn't take anything.
They did write to me loads and I confess I buried my head in the sand honestly because I was too scared to contact them. So today I received a court summons so know that I need to actually do something now. I don't earn anywhere near enough to pay in normal circumstances but can afford to pay something.
I have never been in this situation so I don't know how negotiating repayments works, I have registered on moneyreclaim.gov but now I am lost there seem to be various forms but I don't know which one to use. I assume that now they have issued a summons I have to go via court rather than through Erudio
Thank you for any help.

I believe old style student loans are subject to the limitations act, as such if any period of 6 years has passed without any payment, then they may be statute barred.
I suggest you contact National Debtline to see if you can use sec 5 as a full defence to their claim :
